Close To Me
The jump-off point for weird and wonderful web adventures

Suggesting this is merely a travel blog is likely suggesting Lemme is merely a musician or Smoked Swiss is just a cheese is spot on the freakin' money.
Documenting Illinois and that sort of malarkey from the most recent [and well, first...] over that side of the pond. Probably
the only one which doesn't suck a huge lot.

The original and the best. The place where it all started way back in 2003, back before it all came together and things stopped looking
[as much] like the path of a hurricane. These days houses a rarely-updated weblog and various other malarkey.

§ Some kind of supposed "designlog"
based on the idea that design is often pretty cool, and to a lesser extent is a worthwhile topic to talk about. I mean really, who wants to read
some pretentious wanker write about a subject we all somewhat know intrinsically anyway?
http://www.newklear.org/cogito §
The world's 165,291st greatest music review website, as according to a random number plucked out of the air. Written in a style that'd make most people cry
and most musicians want to give up their day jobs. Go look, it'll be good for a laugh. [currently defunct]

The kickin' daily photoblog of someone who doesn't all that often take photos. Sure, it's meant to be daily but the crontab script for it doesn't work so
it has evoled into "whenever the hell the page gets opened and 'post' gets clicked". Most of the photos that are able to be considered "above average"
will most likely be found here - don't set your standards too high though. It's a sure way to be disappointed through mediocrity.

The dumping ground of all the other photos that don't quite make the cut - various snippets from nights that're incapable of being remembered and
mornings smelling like a bar in downtown Kirachi. Who knows, maybe there's some kind of sentimental value to all of it... chances are probably
not though.
The older, probably less interesting brother to the aforementioned one. It's got all kinds of weird stuff - camera phone pictures, old sketches, photos
from a time before digital photography, and best of all - narcissistic delights to make any myspace whore cringe in shame.

A foray into what some call "About Me"
Ben·ja·min All·dridge (ben'jă-mən all'Dər-idj), n., ca. 1987 -
A self-proclaimed "design bitch" and general all-round geek/dork/nerd/standard socially maladjusted twenty year-old.
Studied Print Machining and Print Design for just under three years, then underwent a bout of studying Web Development
and Design. Has always sucked at logo design, but has a profound love of typography - especially trying to
make it beautiful on the web and new media with the allotted faces - a feat not often achieved.
Idealistic and raised to believe in good ol' fashioned morality and decency, he's one of the most caring and nurturing people you'll encounter once you earn his trust. Enjoys the lighter side of life, and having a laugh in every situation possible - if you can't laugh at yourself then humour is a waste of life. Lives in
Brisbane, Australia
currently, but has his heart somewhere slightly further abroad (Chicago, US of A more specifically).
Probably doesn't like you, and even less so cares about a word you have to say or anything you think.
